I was so fortunate to be involved with this delightfully, loving couple from Sydney who choose to marry at Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa on the weekend. The love and warmth that flowed from everyone involved was so touching and beautiful. I don't think I have seen a Bride with a bigger smile than Karen or a more touching moment when the Groom was about to shake hands with the Bride's father. Love was definitely surrounding us all. We are so fortunate here on the Sunshine Coast to have wedding professionals who take pride in their work. It all comes together so easy when you work with a great team and Mr. & Mrs. Trask - a truly lovely couple who wished for a relaxed, warm and wonderful ceremony for their Wedding Day at Twin Waters Golf Club - were thrilled. Thank you Amy from Amy Hinks Photography for these "happy Snaps" You captured some precious moments which were "picture perfect" and Bec from Twin Waters Weddings pulled it all together effortlessly together with the brilliant Julie-Anne Brown from Cloud Nine Weddings who always does a fantastic job with the decorating and floral arrangements.

Brides and Grooms, you may want to consider having an unplugged wedding ceremony.
Look at this photo. This groom had to lean out past the aisle just to see his bride approaching. Why? Because guests with their phones were in the aisle and in his way.
 Please consider these points:
1. Guests with phones, iPads and cameras get right in your photographer's way. They have no idea how to stay out of the way. They often ruin many of your shots and make photos worse.
You're paying a photographer quite a bit of money; that means you want great photos. They cannot do their best work with people getting in the way.
2. These same guests will get in YOUR way. You will miss moments of your own wedding day because there'll be an iPad in the way. You will miss seeing your partner's face in the aisle.
3. Imagine you're in the middle of your wedding ceremony. You're elated. You decide to take a quick glance towards your guests as you're sure they're sharing these happy moments with you, possibly even shedding a tear of their own.
What do you see? NO FACES AT ALL AS THEY ARE ALL HIDDEN BEHIND PHONES AND CAMERAS! I highly doubt this is the way you want to remember your wedding ceremony.
In your invites, tell guests you're having an unplugged ceremony: no technology, please, Write it on a chalkboard which guests can see as they arrive on the day.
Now as a Celebrant, I can share this with guests…in a “friendly” way before the Ceremony begins and perhaps touch on the subject of “Social Media” as well allowing the Bride and Groom to be the "first" to post on their own Wedding Day

Some Helpful Tips for Couples about to be "Husband & Wife" -
After the initial excitement of the engagement, couples begin to put in place a plan for their wedding day. This can be as easy as you want it to be with some careful planning.

1. You both need to sit down and discuss the budget that you have for your wedding. It is important that you are both on the same page to avoid disappointments and maybe even arguments.
2. Decide on the venue where you want your wedding to take place. There are so many options on the Sunshine Coast including the gorgeous Hinterland areas and also our beautiful river weddings for boutique, intimate occasions of up to 40 people. Depending on the venue that you both decide upon, you may need the services of an Event Co ordinator who will create the decore that you want. By the way always have a contingency plan just in case the weather may threaten if your wedding is to take place outdoors.
3. Check if you require Council Permits for your ceremony eg: beaches, parks etc.
4. Find your celebrant. Their are lots of very good celebrants around and prices vary depending on experience and quality. You need to meet with your celebrants before you make a decision. You need to be able to feel comfortable with them and feel that they are available to you.
5.Clothing - again discussions with your partner about what the groomsmen will be wearing and of course you will both need to know who will be in your bridal party. The fun begins for the bride to be and her lovely bridesmaids to start shopping for their gorgeous dresses, hairstyles, makeup and photographers.
6. Cakes and cars need to be organised and of course visits to florists to help you decide what will suit your needs.
These are just a few basic tips to help make your journey stressfree and fun. And brides to be, be prepared to share some of the organising with your partner. Lots of the grooms love to participate in the creating of your perfect day.
If you are from interstate and not sure where to go to find the wedding vendors that you need, just have a chat with your celebrant. They will have plenty of wedding resources that they will gladly share with you.
And don't forget some couples want to Elope and that can very easily be arranged too.

Good luck…enjoy …..and choose carefully.
